Fast-paced, physical, and full of excitement — our Ripper Rugby Tournament is perfect for kids who love action and teamwork.
Open to boys and girls aged 11–14, this high-energy competition runs during the Festival at Trafalgar Park and focuses on speed, strategy and great sportsmanship.

Mini Football Tournament
All about ball skills, quick thinking and fun, the Mini Football Tournament invites boys and girls aged 10–13 to enjoy a morning of friendly competition at Trafalgar Park on 1 March 2026.
A perfect opportunity for young athletes to have fun, compete in a great sporting spirit, and enjoy the outdoors.

Treasure Hunt
Calling all junior detectives. Are you ready for a challenge?
A very important piece of Italian art is missing. La Polizia believe their is a Nelson connection to the crime. Maybe the crooks are at the Festival?
Time is of the essence! They need your help to return the art to its rightful home. Each clue you answer and every code you crack will bring us closer to the truth. Start booth at the kids zone: see you there!
For parents: This activity is for children under the age of 13. Younger children are welcome with a grown-up. Can be completed individually or in groups. Runs from 1.15 to 3.15 pm (latest starting time is 2.30 pm).

Jump into the fun: two castles, double the action!
Little festival-goers can leap, tumble and burn off some energy on not one but two colourful ticketed bouncy castles, thanks to Blast Bouncy Castles.
Meanwhile, the grown-ups can take a breather and catch up with friends, all just a few steps away. How does that sound?
